Agency
Description: CRWorks is a nonprofit agency that
works to eradicate homelessness.
Project Description:
One of the programs
within the CRWorks agency is Career Resource Centers.
Career Resource Centers received a federal grant to open
a Community Technology Center (CTC),
which is designed to provide supplemental educational
services to 100 low performing students in grades 9
through 12.
The Career Resource Centers
collaborated with
one public school, Lew Wallace High School, to install
the center. The program utilized proven methods of
instruction and technology tools of one of Harvard’s
Project zero research, the Teaching for Understanding (TFU)
pedagogy. The goal was to increase educational
performance of students from Lew Wallace, a school that
did not meet its Adequate Yearly Progress.
ACET
services:
ACET was contracted by the collaborative to design and
implement an evaluation plan for the Community
Technology Center Project.
