Agency Description: Friendship Academy of Fine Arts (FAFA) is a Minneapolis charter school that serves urban students in grades K-6. FAFA emphasizes educating students for a successful global future through the arts. Its mission statement is “students will demonstrate the importance of discipline, practice, persistence and self-evaluation; and will apply what they experience and learn through the arts and other core subjects to all aspects of their lives.” FAFA seeks to "educate students for a successful global future through the arts."

ACET services: ACET has prepared the “Annual Report on Curriculum, Instruction and Achievement” for FAFA since 2001, which provide the staff and families of FAFA, the Minnesota Department of Education, Minneapolis Public Schools, and the general public with information on the progress of FAFA and its students. In 2009, ACET expanded its services to FAFA to include several performance based evaluation elements including development of a teacher self-assessment survey and a teacher performance formal evaluation rubric. ACET provides continuous capacity building to FAFA through analysis and onsite personal reporting of the Measures of Academic Progress assessment given to FAFA’s students and the school’s annual student survey. ACET has also assisted in compilation of FAFA’s application for the Quality Compensation opportunity and provided consultation on revisions to the school’s student survey.
