Description: MACC
Alliance of Connected Communities (formerly the
Metropolitan Alliance of Community Centers) is a
strategic partnership of 27 community-based human
service organizations and advocates for families and
communities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. MACC
members have more than 80 sites across the Twin Cities
and serve over 315,000 metro area residents, the
majority of whom the majority are persons of color with
another 25-30% who are new Americans.
Project Description:
In 2002, MACC
contracted with The Inter-Race Institute at Augsburg
College to assess the New Americans Service Initiative
(at that time, MACC’s membership consist of 13 community
agencies).
ACET
services: The
team at Inter-Race included a subcontract agreement with
ACET to: (a) assist in the development of a Cultural
Audit instrument and Diversity Climate surveys; (b)
perform all statistical analysis of the data and report
of outcomes; and (c) conduct site visits and interview
users from the Confederation of Somali Community,
Sabathani Community Center, East Side Neighborhood
Services, and West 7th Community Center.
