Description:
Minnesota Business Academy (MBA) had as its purpose “to
be a dynamic, state-of-the-art learning environment in
which students will: 1) become active learners for life,
2) work directly with the business community in
mentorships and internships, 3) experience the world of
business and understand how business contributes to the
well-being of society, 4) develop the knowledge, skills
and habits to succeed in further education beyond high
school, and 5) create and realize the visions of their
futures. Further, the school was designed to be a
laboratory setting in which business economics education
is integrated within the curriculum. The methods learned
about teaching and learning of business economics
education would then be exported upon request to other
schools. The school closed its doors in 2006.
