Agency Description: Perspectives, Inc. opened in
1976 with a mission to increase awareness of chemical
dependency issues in the Twin Cities metro.
Perspectives, Inc. offers support groups and workshops
to help families who deal with substance abuse.
Perspectives, Inc. also provides community education
about chemical abuse and supportive housing for
treatment. The organization also has a walk-in center
available to any who wish to utilize its services or
learn more information.
Project Description: Perspectives, Inc. partnered
with Wayside House, a substance abuse treatment program
for women (30% homeless), in order to form The Main
Street Collaborative. The Main Street Collaborative
received a funding stream from the government to provide
integrated primary health, substance abuse, and mental
health services to homeless (including chronic homeless)
women.
ACET services: ACET was contracted by
Perspectives, Inc. to develop a validated Quality of
Life survey unique to the population of focus.
