Agency Description: The University of Minnesota, Morris is a small, liberal arts state university. The university is proud to offer a "personalized educational experience" to each of their students.

Project Description: In 2001, the University of Minnesota, Morris received a U.S. Department of Education Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology (PT3) grant to implement a New Teachers New Technology (NTNT) project. The NTNT project aims to prepare pre-service teachers to effectively use technology in instruction to improve student learning and academic achievement. The project involved 23 consortium PK-12 schools in the Morris area, as well as national and international partners.

ACET services: As part of the Evaluation framework, five instruments were developed by ACET in collaboration with NTNT staff: (1) site visit protocol; (2) focus group and interview questions; (3) performance-based assessment; (4) technologies competencies checklist; and (5) on-line surveys for project stakeholders. ACET also implemented the evaluation plan, collected the data, analyzed the data, and reported the results in several venues, including the 2004 Society of Information Technology and Teacher Education International Conference.
