Agency Description: Women’s Cancer Research Center addressed its mission to support women in taking charge of their cancer experience. The organization suspended its activities in August of 2006 due to a lack of funds.

ACET services: ACET was hired to develop a logic model and evaluation plan with specific performance indicators for the center. Example performance indicators included: (a) an increase in the number of women served each year; (b) women’s change in personal knowledge about cancer (e.g., treatment choices, familiarity with community resources or services); (c) women’s empowerment to make informed decisions regarding their personal treatment plan; and (d) follow-through with personal needs (developing/maintaining healthy habits) and care (making and keeping appointments with doctors or other health care professionals). ACET was also asked to build staff capacity for evaluating program services.
