Training One
Strategic Prevention Framework (Strategic Prevention Framework) Overview

Training Description: Participants will understand the SPF's five key steps: assessment, capacity, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and two guiding principles: cultural competency and sustainability.
Training Two
Introduction to Needs Assessment

Time: 8:30 - 12:00 PM (CST)
Training Description: Participants will be able to recall the needs assessment process by completing a case study to walk through the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) needs assessment process. Identify key data sources and determine relevant data to collect for a comprehensive needs assessment.
Training Three
Prevention Basics 101

Training Description: Participants will acquire foundational skills and knowledge to learn Prevention Basics 101 to create population-level change and prioritize substance misuse problems. Incorporating data from risk and protective factors. Participants will identify and utilize data-driven evidence-based prevention strategies and programs based on community readiness.

Risk & Protective Factors

Training Description: This training focuses on the identification and understanding of risk and protective factors related to substance misuse and other behavioral health issues. Participants will learn how these factors influence individual and community well-being and how they can be used to guide prevention efforts. The training will provide participants with tools to assess risk and protective factors within their communities and to develop targeted strategies for reducing risk while enhancing protective factors.
